Structural Engineering

Structural engineering design involves the design and documentation of the vertical and horizontal structural elements to a structure via CAD drawings / Sketches.

The effective design of a proposed structure, takes into account all elements and how they tie into one another to form a complete ‘structural system’ which is capable of withstanding all Australian Code related design loads, during the serviceable lifetime of the structure.

These elements may be:

  • Roof framing elements, – roof beams, rafters, ceiling joists, roof props, etc.
  • Wall elements, – studs, columns, window lintels, Wall Bracing for stability purposes,
  • Ground elements, – Concrete Slabs & Footings, Bored piers, Timber joists, bearers & stumps, retaining walls & boundary fences.
